The design
Record store shirts are a whole genre – you wear the shop, not the band, and the shop stands in for a set of tastes you do not have to explain. Detroit has earned more of those shops than most cities its size. This one is ours: a storefront that exists only on the shirt, built in the visual language of every good record store you have spent an hour in.

Questions about this tee
Is the Tri-County Record Store a real shop? No – it is our own invention, named after the three counties. The design borrows the look of a classic independent record store without standing in for any particular one.
How does the 5.3 oz blank compare to a standard tee? It is heavier than a basic promotional tee, which means it drapes rather than clings and survives more washes without going thin at the shoulders. Taped neck and shoulders keep the collar from stretching out.
Do you print for bands and labels? Regularly. Merch runs for bands, labels and venues are some of our favorite work, and printing in-house means small runs are actually viable. Get in touch through custom work.
