The Corktown Tee is a Corktown Detroit shirt printed in Detroit on a unisex cotton blank. Ten colorways, sizes S through 6XL – the widest color range we stock.

The design

Corktown is the oldest surviving neighborhood in Detroit, settled in the 1830s and 40s by Irish immigrants, a large share of them from County Cork. The name stuck. So did the neighborhood: Michigan Central Station sat empty over it for thirty years and now anchors it again, and the corner of Michigan and Trumbull held Tiger Stadium for most of a century. Ten colorways because Corktown people are particular.

Questions about this tee

Which colorway is most popular? Dark Chocolate and Military Green move fastest, followed by Maroon. The earth tones suit the design better than the brights, and they are easier to wear year-round. Black and Navy are the safe picks if you want it to go with everything.

Does the print look different on light versus dark shirts? We print dark garments with a white underbase so the artwork stays bright rather than sinking into the fabric. Across all ten colorways the design holds its contrast – the background just changes the mood, from stark on Black to softer on Dark Chocolate.

Is this an officially licensed Detroit or Tigers product? No. It is an original Tri-County Tees design about the neighborhood itself, with no team or corporate affiliation. Everything in our Detroit collection is drawn in-house.
