The design
“Techno City” arrived in 1984 on a Cybotron record – Juan Atkins and Rik Davis imagining Detroit as a machine metropolis at a moment when the actual city was losing plants and people. Forty years on, the name reads less like science fiction and more like an accurate description. Clean type, three dark colorways, no explanation offered. If someone gets it, they get it.
