The design

Michigan has a long cold season and a loyal relationship with the hooded sweatshirt as a result. This is the state graphic on the garment that gets the most wear here – at a game, on a boat in May when the wind turns, in a garage in November. Black and Red, both of which hide a winter’s worth of use.

Questions about this hoodie

How warm is it? Midweight fleece – comfortable as an outer layer through fall and spring, and a solid mid layer under a coat in January. The brushed interior holds heat without the bulk of a heavyweight hoodie, so it still fits under a shell.

Should I size up? True to size if you are wearing it over a t-shirt. Go up one if you want the roomier, slightly oversized fit, or if you plan to layer it over a flannel or a long sleeve regularly.

Is it printed in Michigan? Yes – in our own Metro Detroit shop. That is unusual for state-pride apparel, most of which is printed elsewhere and shipped in. We proof every design before it goes on a press.
