The design

Southwest Detroit earned its own shirt. It is the part of the city that never emptied – Vernor Highway and its bakeries, the Ambassador Bridge in every skyline photo taken from the south, a Mexican-American community that has anchored the neighborhood for generations. The long sleeve is the version you actually reach for most of the year here.

Questions about this shirt

Is it heavy enough to wear on its own? Yes, in fall and spring. This is a standard long sleeve tee weight – comfortable alone in mild weather and ideal as a base layer under a flannel or crewneck when it drops. In deep winter most people wear it under something.

How long are the sleeves? Full length with ribbed cuffs that sit at the wrist. The body is cut like a standard unisex tee rather than long and slim, so if you have a long reach, sizing up gives you sleeve length without much extra room in the chest.

Why does this only go to 3XL when the tee goes to 6XL? Different blank. The long sleeve garment we print runs S through 3XL from the manufacturer. If you need the design above 3XL, the short sleeve tee goes to 6XL, or contact us and we will quote an alternate blank.
